Privacy Policy
Answers to the questions that matter. Last revised August 2026
We wrote this policy as a set of plain questions and honest answers, because that is how we would want to read one. It applies to gornio.com and to nothing else.
Who is behind this website?
Gornio Cociña is an editorial recipe publication operated by GREGORIO APOIO ADMINISTRATIVO LTDA. The full company details, including a mailing address, are printed at the bottom of this page. When this policy says "we", that is who it means.
Do you need an account to use the site?
No. There are no accounts, no logins, no member areas and no paywalls. Every page is open to every visitor in exactly the same form, which means we never ask you for a password, a payment method or a profile of any kind.
What information do you actually receive about me?
Very little, and almost all of it arrives automatically. Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical entries when a page is requested: an IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the browser type and the referring page. These entries exist for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to build profiles of individual readers.
Beyond that, the only personal information we hold is whatever you choose to include if you write to us.
Does the site use cookies?
The pages we author do not set cookies of their own. Cookies you may encounter here come from third party services described in the next two answers, chiefly advertising. Your browser settings let you view, restrict or delete cookies at any time, and the site remains fully readable with cookies disabled.
How does advertising work here?
We may display advertising served by Google AdSense. AdSense is operated by Google, which may use cookies and similar identifiers to show ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads that are more relevant to you.
- How Google uses cookies in advertising is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- Google's own privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads.
We do not control which individual advertisements appear, and an advertisement here is not an endorsement by us.
Do you run analytics?
We may use aggregate measurement tools to understand, in broad strokes, which recipes readers enjoy. These tools report totals and trends, not identities. We do not attempt to connect traffic statistics to a named person, and we do not buy, sell or trade reader data with anyone.
What happens when I email you?
If you write to us, we receive your address and whatever you send. We use it to reply and for nothing else. We keep correspondence only as long as a conversation stays relevant, then it is deleted in routine cleanups. We never add correspondents to a mailing list, because we do not operate one.
Is any of this shared or sold?
We do not sell, rent or trade any visitor information. The limited technical data described above is processed by the infrastructure providers that keep the site online, under their own contractual safeguards. We would disclose information beyond that only if the law genuinely required it.
What about children?
This is a recipe publication written for a general audience of home cooks. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
I am visiting from abroad. Does anything change?
The site is published in English and read worldwide. Wherever you are, the same principle applies: minimal collection, no profiles, no sale of data. Depending on where you live you may hold legal rights to access, correct or erase personal data. Since we hold almost none, exercising those rights is usually as simple as one email.
Will this policy change?
If our practices change, this page changes first, and the revision note under the title is updated. Continued use of the site after a revision means the current version applies. Significant changes will be visible here, not buried elsewhere.
How do I reach you?
Through the postal address in the box below. Please allow a reasonable time for a written reply.
